Defense Minister Bnei Gantz tonight (Thursday) held a situation assessment with the participation of Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, head of the Armed Forces and head of the Ministry of Defense.
Thus, it was decided to extend the closure in Gaza and Judea and Samaria at this stage until Sunday – at the end of the week there will be another assessment of the situation on the subject. And to reinforce the police with assistance in the scans, and to use all the forces necessary to close the seam area and the crossings in order to prevent a possible escape of the perpetrators to Judea and Samaria.
At the end of the assessment of the situation, the Minister of Defense said that this was a serious attack, which is part of a series of attacks. He added that the defense establishment would charge a price for the attacks and incitement, and that he shared in the grief of the families of the dead and wished the wounded a recovery.
