The Secretary General of the Vice-Presidency and of Digital Policies and Territory of the Generalitat, Ricard Fonthas assured that the State has “no will to execute” the promised investments in infrastructures in Catalonia, in an interview with RAC-1 this Thursday.
He pointed out that one of the problems is that projects are not being drafted to carry out the infrastructure and has said that “not doing the projects is political inaction.”
This lack of drafted projects means that even if the funds were available, they could not be carried out and has put Examples are the Montcada i Reixac tunnel (Barcelona) or the splitting of the road between Vic (Barcelona) and Barcelona.
He assured that even if it was decided to do all the pending work, it would take “ten years” to be able to carry them out, since it is the usual term to be able to write up these projects.
On the other hand, he pointed out that some of the works that are being carried out, such as the burying of the tracks in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona)will not serve to improve the capacity of the Rodalies network.
