The supply of seasonal vegetables, greens and fruits continues to grow in agricultural markets at fair prices, and since Friday, August 9, they are selling rice and beans.

They already sell rice and beans: 1 pound of each (2 pounds in total) for $1.50. There will be more and more variety, better prices and more locations. Little by little, prices will continue to drop even more.”

Immediately, hundreds of Salvadorans expressed their gratitude, and today, buyers from different locations also thanked the president for his initiative.

Salvadorans say they save money compared to supermarkets and conventional markets. They also say they are satisfied with the improvements in product offerings and the reduction in prices.

In addition to the demand for the most consumed vegetables, greens and fruits, the points offer yellow corn, peaches, watermelons, lychees, among others.

The 44 agricultural markets are open every day from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., so that the population can purchase fresh products at a good price, from basic grains to seasonal fruits and vegetables, thus expanding the options available to buyers.
