Food poisoning among students of a school in Pathanamthitta. 13 students and one teacher got food poisoning. They are currently being treated in the hospital. Chicken biryani was distributed in the school on Friday 6th January in connection with the school anniversary. This is believed to be the cause of food poisoning. It is assumed that the people who ate the chicken biryani got food poisoning.

The students and the teacher were admitted to three hospitals in Pathanamthitta due to severe physical ailments. On the day of eating chicken biryani, there was no problem for the children or the teacher. From the next day, the students and the teacher started having severe physical ailments. On the other hand, the owner of the hotel that provided the biryani said that the biryani was delivered to the school at 11 am but was distributed only at 6 am.

Meanwhile, the food safety department is continuing to inspect hotels across the state. Two hotels were closed in Pathanamthitta. Al Farooj at Adoor Bypass and Sreeshasta Tea Shop at Ranni Parapetty were closed. Five hotels were fined. On Sunday, the special squad inspected 16 places in Pathanamthitta.

In a situation where two people died due to food poisoning within a week in the state, the Food Safety Department has intensified the inspection. After this, the inspection of hotels in the state has been intensified. Anjushree Parvathi, a native of Kasargod Talaklai, died due to food poisoning after eating earthworms. Anjushree and his friends had bought and eaten the gourd online from Al Romansia Hotel on December 31.

Ordered Chicken Manthi, Chicken 65, Mayonnaise and Salad. Anjushree felt unwell the next morning after eating. He was then admitted to a private hospital in Delhi. After initial treatment, the girl returned home. Yesterday morning, the girl fainted and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore, but Anjushree died while undergoing treatment.

A nurse died of food poisoning after consuming Alfam in Kottayam. Rashmi, who was a nurse in the Ortho Division ICU of Kottayam Medical College, died while undergoing treatment at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Rashmi got food poisoning after eating at the hotel called Hotel Park Malappuram Kommanti in Kottayam Sankranti. Rashmi, who was admitted to the Medical College Hospital after suffering from food poisoning, later deteriorated further.
