Food shortages worsen; Pakistan has also lost ground in the economy

by time news

Islamabad: Food shortage is worsening in Pakistan’s Lahore. The reason for the crisis is reported to be shortage of subsidized grains in the markets. It is suggested that the cause of the crisis is a lack of harmony between the food department and the mills.

After an increase of Rs 150, 15 kg of grain is currently selling at Rs 2,050. 300 has increased in two weeks. But in the open market, there has been no difference in prices so far.

But in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, grain prices have increased for the third time in two days. The major challenge facing Pakistan in its collapsing economy is the steep rise in food prices. Political observers believe that the government of Pakistan has failed to provide the necessary infrastructure to the people.
