Sometimes a person feels unpleasant odors emanating from the body, especially with regard to the smell of the mouth, sweat, or urine, as there are several reasons, the most important of which is the lack of interest in body hygiene.

Foods that cause bad body odor:

There are other factors that lead to the emergence of an unpleasant odor from the body, such as: having some diseases, as well as eating types of foods, including:

1- Garlic and onions: Despite its many benefits, garlic is one of the most prominent foods that affect body odor, because it contains sulfur compounds that cause bad smell, and the same applies to onions.

2- Fish: Fish carries a pungent and distinctive odor and causes a change in body odor when eaten, especially in people who suffer from a genetic disorder called “fish odor syndrome.”

3- Vegetables that contain sprouts: Cabbage of all kinds, broccoli, cauliflower, and other foods that contain sprouts can affect body odor as they are rich in large amounts of sulfur.

4- Meat: One study showed that there is an effect of red meat on body odor, especially beef.

5. Asparagus Asparagus does not change the body odor as much as it affects the smell of urine, due to the fact that it contains sulfur compounds that increase when some of the substances inside it are broken down.
