Nissan, a Japanese car manufacturer in partnership with Renault, has established itself as a successful car manufacturer by introducing several models suitable for Indian roads. Although Nissan manufactures luxury and expensive cars abroad, in India it also manufactures and sells budget cars that can be afforded by the middle class. Nissan is preparing to launch a new 7-seater car at a lower price to benefit large and joint families belonging to the middle class.
The new 7-seater is also said to be an updated version of the Renault Triber MPV. Car models with more seats are always popular in India. Some of the best examples of this are the Toyota Innova, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6 and Renault Triber. These cars are well-received among people living in joint families with large numbers of members.
Nissan is going to launch a 7 seater car at a low price targeting such customers. Nissan is developing a new 7-seater MPV based on Renault’s most popular 7-seater Driver. The arrival of this new 7 seater is expected to give a tough competition to other leading MPVs like Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The car is expected to go on sale by the end of 2023.

The 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine used in the Renault Driver is also expected to be used in the new car. This engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. While the new 7-seater is based on the Dripper, it has been reported that its appearance will reveal the Magnite. Although the exterior looks like the Magnet, the cabin and some of the substructures are said to be similar to the Dripper.

Features such as a removable rear seat, LED projector headlights, an 8-inch screen (with Apple Car Play and Android Auto) are also available in Nissan’s new Magneto, which is based on the Renault Triber. Its price is Rs. 6 lakh Rs. 9 lakhs to be fixed. After this car goes on sale, the Ertiga may face tough competition.
