/ The Women’s Committee of the Iraqi Football Association called on Thursday for talented female players who wish to participate in the Iraqi women’s national team tests to come to Taji Stadium in the capital, Baghdad.

The tests will be held during the period from January 3 to 6, at 3:00 PM every day, to begin training before the best players are selected by the coaching staff.

According to the Women’s Committee, the goal is to represent the Iraqi women’s team in the upcoming events, so anyone who finds herself competent and capable should attend the tests.

Rasha Talib, a member of the Football Association, told Agency: “We decided to discover new talents by inviting talents and conducting tests,” adding: “We seek to develop women’s football and care about age groups in order to develop the players after we saw the big difference between us and the regional teams.”

The Iraqi national team lost its matches in the West Asian Football Federation Championship on open fields last month, which concluded in Jordan, against Syria 0-4, the second against Jordan 0-6, and against Lebanon 0-7, to leave the tournament in last place without scoring any goals.
