Football – CAN Mauritania U20 (1st round/Group C): Morocco wins against Gambia (1-0)
Nouadhibou – The national U20 football team won against its Gambian counterpart (1-0), in a match counting for the first day (Group C) of the first round of the African Cup of Nations (U20), played Tuesday afternoon in Nouadhibou in Mauritania.
The only achievement of the Atlas lions was the work of Mehdi Moubarak in the 25th minute from the penalty spot.
In the same group, the Ghanaian selection crushed its Tanzanian counterpart by 4-0.
On the next day, the national eleven, which takes part in this competition after 15 years of absence, will face Ghana on Friday before meeting Tanzania next Monday.
In addition to Mauritania, the organizing country, 11 countries are participating in this continental meeting, namely Morocco, Tunisia, Gambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Central Africa and Cameroon.
