This four-day training is provided under the supervision and guidance of the Director of Coach Training of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Branimir Ujevic and the Director of Technical Development of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Raul Chipenda.

In a statement to the press on this occasion, Mr. Chipenda said that FIFA, which has a program to train coach instructors, aspires to introduce participants to the instructor platform of the international football body.

“This training is a historic step because we have never before had the possibility of partnering with FIFA to train coaching instructors in Africa,” he underlined.

He noted that this approach will make it possible to raise the quality of African instructors and have a positive impact on the quality of coaches who will supervise the players and thus have national teams of very good level.

The director of FIFA coach training, Branimir Ujevic, for his part stressed that the objective of training in the last module of FIFA-CAF Elite instructors is to strengthen and share international standards in football training, adding that “our objective is also to allow all African federations to have access to these standards through instructor training”.

“This is a big step forward for the process of training football coaches in Africa,” he assured, specifying that “FIFA has invested a lot in the development of coaching based on e-learning, face-to-face training and monitoring”.

For his part, the national executive Jamal Sellami noted that “this training is beneficial and marks the start of a new stage of quality training and supervision for the benefit of African coach trainers”, considering that it is an opportunity important to contribute to the development of African football through high-level training of African coaches.

“This training will make it possible to further raise the level of football practice on the African continent,” he noted.

The coach of the Jordan team, Lhoussaine Ammouta, for his part, explained that this training of FIFA-CAF Elite instructors takes place as part of the continuity of several sessions, specifying that “this session is marked by the presence in force FIFA experts with quality interventions to present content to international standards for the benefit of instructors who will provide this content to their African counterparts.

According to the national framework, “this approach is laudable because it goes in the direction of training African coaches for the future. It is a transfer of knowledge for the good of African, but also Moroccan, football.”

“It is now our responsibility to take charge of young coaches to prepare the future of African football and contribute to its development and influence,” he insisted.

At the end of this training, which will continue until March 8, evaluation exams will be organized with the contribution of FIFA technical experts. The winners of these exams will obtain the FIFA-CAF Elite Instructor certificate, which marks a significant step in their coaching career.

This initiative is part of FIFA and CAF’s ongoing commitment to promote excellence in football through the professional development of instructors on the African continent.
