Vast sweep in the world of football this Tuesday morning. Six people were placed in police custody as part of a preliminary investigation opened by the Nice public prosecutor’s office, in March 2022, for acts of “illegal exercise of the profession of sports agent”, “forgery and use forgery”, “organized gang fraud” and “organized gang money laundering”.
According to information revealed by News17 and that we are able to confirm, John Valovic-Galtier, is one of the six people arrested this Tuesday morning. The adopted son of Christophe Galtier, the former coach of Paris-Saint-Germain, is heard in Paris.
David Venditelli, ex-president of FC Bourg-en-Bresse-Péronnas and former agent of Alexandre Lacazette, David Wantier, Alexandre Bonnefond, Tristan Sauzon, all three official sports agents, are also in police custody . David Wantier and John Valovic-Galtier regularly collaborate with Score Agencies, an agency which includes David Venditelli and Alexandre Bonnefond.

Two police custody therefore took place in Paris, three in Lyon and another in Saint-Étienne according to our information. The investigation is led by the central racing and games service (SCCJ), based in Hauts-de-Seine in Nanterre, and monitored by the judicial police of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes).
Beyond the police custody, which a priori should not last according to our information, searches are underway in the homes of several people in Rennes, Saint-Étienne, Lyon, Cassis. The investigations concern in particular transfers from Ligue 1, including that of Montpellier to Andy Delort’s OCG Nice.
The investigation was opened in March 2022, after a report a few months earlier from Jean-Pierre Bernès, famous Marseille advisor and former manager of Olympique de Marseille. The latter was also Christophe Galtier’s advisor until the end of his adventure on the bench of Saint-Étienne. Since that time, relations between the two men have deteriorated significantly.
