Football: Robert Budzynski, loyal to FC Nantes and first French sports director, is dead

A veteran of FC Nantes died at the age of 83 on Monday, according to information from The team. After spending five seasons as a player, between 1958 and 1963, at RC Lens, Robert Budzynski spent more than half of his life at FC Nantes. First on the field (1963-1969), the former French defender with eleven selections, then became the first sports director in the history of French football. A position he held from 1970 to 2005.

He was with Jean-Claude Suaudeau the architect of the great Nantes, honest version, faithful and without glitter.
