Qatar: Sevens football tournament organized by Sea Tac, an association of alumni of Thiruvananthapuram Engineering College in Qatar, will be held on Friday and Saturday. 16 teams are participating in the tournament.
Alumni of 16 professional colleges are entering the field. Preliminary matches will be held on 11th from 6 to 10 pm and knockout matches will be held on Saturday evening. The venue is Hamilton International School. Sponsors are Gulfar Al Misnad, McInnes Trading and Contracting and Tesla International Group.
The tournament’s group selection draw and jersey unveiling took place last day. A special committee was formed under the leadership of Nikhil to organize the tournament. The tournament is being organized to make the engineering community, which has played a crucial role in the development of World Cup football infrastructure, a part of the excitement.
