An eight-month-old baby was found with his mother when she was lifeless. He stayed next to her body for two whole days and the neighbors who heard him crying non-stop, suspected that something was wrong and called the police to the scene.
The baby’s mother, Sandra Maria da Sousa Silva from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who was a hair stylist by profession, was apparently murdered by her partner. The difficult scenes were discovered by the security forces, who broke into her house after receiving a call to come to the place and check why the neighbors’ baby doesn’t stop crying. The eight-month-old suffered from dehydration and starvation, and signs of violence were found on his body.
According to the reports, the mother was violently attacked and her face and head were bruised, apparently as a result of stab wounds. The researchers believe that the bruises on the baby’s body were caused by failed attempts to separate him from his mother.
The suspect in the murder is a man of Mexican origin named Dobby Rodriguez, Silva’s ex-partner. However, Brazilian security forces say the man’s real name is Daniel Ospina Garcia, who was last seen after leaving the victim’s apartment on July 22. The police released footage from security cameras, in which he was seen leaving the apartment with a packed bag in his hand. The investigation and the hunt for him continue.
