Time.news – According to 80% of companies it will take from 6 months to a year to see the Italian economy restart towards the exit from the Covid emergency thanks also to a massive and faster vaccination campaign. This is what emerges from the monitoring of theEuropean Union of Cooperatives (Uecoop) on a national sample of production and service companies at a national level with reference to the latest Istat data which recorded an increase in the composite index of business confidence in March 2021 from 93.3 to 93.9.

If more than half of the cooperatives surveyed – underlines Uecoop – expect that the restart will take all of 2021, while more than 1 in 5 (21%) are more optimistic and believe that everything will happen within six months.

And if on the one hand 15% fear it will take at least two years – continues the Uecoop survey – there is also a niche of 3% of super optimists who hypothesize that three months could be enough.

The vaccination campaign is considered so strategic that – explains Uecoop – there are already 170 cooperatives that from north to south of the country have made themselves available by offering spaces to set up “vaccination hotspots” to immunize 500 thousand people a day as is in the government’s plans.

An operation to be coordinated with the State, Regions and health offices in the territories in order to guarantee – concludes Uecoop – the choice of the most suitable structures for the organization of vaccinations and to allow a more rapid restart of the country.
