On September 19, 2023 from 1 p.m. local time, pretexting an “anti-terrorist” operation and targeting only “military objectives”, the Azerbaijani armed forces, supported by Turkey and armed by Israel, launched on Nagorno-Karabakh – already subject to an inhumane blockade for nine months – a large-scale assault. Bombs, artillery fire, drones, missiles… In Martakert, Martouni, Askeran, in the border villages and even in Stepanakert, the capital of the enclave, the Armenian “terrorists”, the Karabakh defense army and the 120 000 inhabitants were struck, during twenty-four tragic hours, by the Azerbaijani steel storm. Results: 200 dead, 400 injured, more than 10,000 evacuated.
