## Man Attacks Dog with Machete in Hidalgo, Mexico
And a subject attacked a little dog with a machete in Hidalgo because he persecuted his rabbit.
According to reports from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Hidalgo (PGJEH), a man identified as Christian “N” attacked a little dog called “Jefazo” in the streets of the municipality Mineral de la Reforma on August 5th.
The attack occurred after the man claimed that the dog chased his rabbit into his home and was “aggressive.” He responded by giving the dog a machete blow, which left “Jefazo” with an exposed wound at the level of the spine.
The case went viral on social media, prompting internet users to demand that the Hidalgo authorities address the case of animal cruelty.
Agents of the Public Ministry attached to the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Crimes against Animals learned of the incident through images that were spread on social networks and started an investigation.
A control judge granted an arrest warrant against Christian “N” for alleged crimes against the life, integrity and dignity of animals to the detriment of “Jefazo.”
Elements of the Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Agency executed the order last afternoon in Pachuca.
