EPFO has also advised its subscribers to be wary of fake phone calls and messages. EPFO never asks for personal information of its subscribers through phone calls, e-mails and social media.

EPFO advises subscribers not to share their UAN number, password, PAN number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, OTP (a) any other personal details (a) financial details with anyone at all times. In case of fake call (a) messages, do not share your details with anyone and immediately report the same to the local police (a) cybercrime branch.
