Actor Indrans said that he has to think twice about speaking or writing a dialogue due to the fear of the censor board. What if the character in the film demands physical features and does not give them and says that it is politically incorrect, the actor said. Indrans said this in an interview given to Malayalam Manorama.

“If you can’t express yourself freely, then art has no relevance. If a character asks for any physical features, don’t give them? What if you say that it is politically incorrect and should be avoided. Fearing the censor board, one has to think twice while speaking or writing a speech,’ said Indrans.

This was Indran’s response to Culture Minister VN Vasavan’s remarks

‘Many people forget that all such parables are not to be told in this day and age. New kids will notice all this quickly. I am quite old. I didn’t think it was a problem. He didn’t tell any lies.
