Georges Kapiamba, coordinator of the Congolese Association for Access to Justice (ACAJ), reacted to the government’s publication Sama Lukonde 2, made public late on Friday night, March 24. “We see that the number has increased. We went from 53 to 58 people. We also mention the increase in the number of women. We go from 16 to 18. There are also several veterans who have returned, ”he notes straight away.

According to him, with the increase in the size of this team, which has nearly sixty members, the problem of reducing the standard of living of the institutions will arise more.

“The problem of reducing the standard of living of the institutions still arises because the government had, on the occasion of the adoption of the budget for the current financial year, obtained a reduction of at least 10% and I wonder how they will make this gigantic government work (…). This is a problem that concerns us enormously”, explains Georges Kapiamba.

For Georges Kapiamba, time is crucial with the next elections looming on the horizon. He maintains, in fact, that several personalities take advantage during these periods to lay hands on the coffers of the State and prepare their electoral campaign. Hence, he calls for the vigilance of the population.

“We insist on the fact that all Congolese men and women must mobilize to closely monitor all members of the government, to denounce all acts of corruption, embezzlement of public funds, whoever is at the heart and to ensure that the Court of Auditors, the IGF as well as the justice system, each of these institutions acts so as not to leave the perpetrators of these acts unpunished (…)”, he indicated.

Regarding the profile of each other, in particular the choice of the new Minister of Defense, in the person of Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Mr. Kapiamba thinks that the choice of the Head of State must be respected. , the only one who knows the reasons.

“We must respect the choice of the President of the Republic. He is the one who knows why he chose their profiles and what results he expects from them. All that the people expect is that these members contribute to the realization of the common good, in particular by the pacification of the East of the country, by the fight against corruption, embezzlement and money laundering (…)”, a- he concluded.

On the list of the Sama Lukonde II government, there are 5 deputy prime ministers (VPM), 11 ministers of state, 29 ministers, 1 deputy minister, and 12 deputy ministers.
