WE Y WERE – Thursday evening, at La Cigale, the protege of Vianney, finalist of The Voice 2021, took the public on board thanks to its generous and radiant presence.
There are discoveries that delight. Lying is one of them. The 23-year-old Belgian installed her carpet on the Parisian stage of La Cigale on Thursday March 23, “to feel like home”. A way to reassure herself as she launched that evening for the first time on a Parisian stage of this magnitude. After 11 dates in the provinces to break in, and before a tour in France and Belgium, his passage at La Cigale in the 9e district, is the high point of his young career.

In February 2023, she was selected in the Female Revelation of the Year category at the Victoires de la Musique and joined the Enfoirés troupe.
This evening, the roles are reversed and it is Vianney who is in charge of his first part. “I’m not used to being a first part anymore.he laughs. Mentissa has charm and sweetness in her, an incredible voice and a beautiful stage presence. She is accompanied by three musicians: a keyboard, a drum set and a cello. Influenced by Adele, “which made her want to become a singer”Ed Sheeran or Olivia Rodrigo, his songs, like Balance or Oh mama, address the concerns of his generation with accuracy and emotion. But the young woman has enough to be nervous tonight. Crescendo
Vianney returns to the stage to close the concert with the cover of Axelle Red Because it’s you which they recorded together on the reissue of Vianney’s album Let’s not wait. This song, with a crescendo intensity, was a real launch for the Belgian singer with thirty million streams. This is just the beginning for Mentissa.
