In the Loiret department, pharmacies have been facing serious supply difficulties for several months. A situation all the more delicate as the demand for medicines and antibiotics, far from decreasing, tends to increase with the arrival of winter, reports The Central Republic.
A third of orders upon arrival
A pharmacist from Orléans indicates that supply problems began last year and have worsened this year. He confides that only a third of his orders reach him with each delivery. If at the moment the problem is particularly serious for antibiotics, the situation is also difficult for medicines.
Faced with this situation, pharmacists are adapting and helping each other. But in rural areas, where pharmacies are much rarer, the shortage is even more felt. As our colleagues point out, you sometimes have to travel miles to obtain the desired product.
