Three of Banksy’s best-known works of art from Robbie Williams’ collection will be put up for auction. The pieces – A Girl with a Balloon, Kissing Coppers and Vandalized Oils – will go on sale at Sotheby’s in London on March 2. The works of the famous street artist, who hides his identity, are valued at millions of pounds each.

The piece Girl With Balloon first appeared under the Waterloo Bridge in 2002, making headlines again in 2018, after being scrapped at the end of a Sotheby’s sale in which it sold for £ 1.1 million.

The semi-shredded work was renamed “Love Is In The Bin” and was sold at another auction in October last year for $ 18,582,000, which was set by the auction house as a record amount for the artist.

The version in Williams’ hands is from 2006 on metal, and the first of its kind to be offered for auction, according to Sotheby’s. It is estimated that the starting price will be 3-2 million pounds.

The second painting shows two British policemen kissing. It was first unveiled on the exterior wall of the Prince Albert Pub in Brighton in 2004. The original mural was removed in 2014 due to vandalism. The Williams version is from 2005, and the estimated price is £ 3.5-2.5 million. Sotheby’s noted that this is the first time painting on canvas has been offered in the secondary market.

The third work is from 2005 and shows two armed military helicopters interfering with a pastoral landscape. The piece, which belongs to a series of graffiti paintings on classic oil paintings, is valued at £ 3.5-2.5 million.

“I remember the first time I saw those three pictures,” said Williams, the pop singer and former member of the Take That band. “I think these are some of his best works, and I like their close connection to street works.”

The works will initially be on display at Sotheby’s Galleries in New York starting Jan. 22 for six days. From there they will continue to Hong Kong and will be shown there from February 8 to 9 and will move to London for a final show, until the sale on March 2.
