While Marie Toussaint, their head of list in the European elections, is struggling to make her mark, in Paris, environmentalists keep smiling. And for good reason, if the polls are not favorable to them for the June election, they are encouraging for another deadline: that of the municipal elections of 2026. In quick succession, two polls, in the Tribune and in the Figaro, have placed them between 15 and 18%. They only flirted with 11% in 2020.
Obviously, these data should be taken with caution. “The polls, two years before the deadline and even though we do not know what voting method will be applied, we must take them with caution,” warns Yves Contassot, former EELV advisor in Paris.
