The Bar-On family, the Organization of Journalists and Journalists, businessman Ofer Grill, founder of Shobah Engineering Company, announced today (Sunday) the launch of the prize for the journalist and creator, the late Modi Bar-On, for outstanding journalism in the field of sports. The award is fully supported by the Israel Sports Channel, the media platform that has become the home of Modi Bar-On since 1994.

The Modi Bar-On award will amount to NIS 18,000 each year and is intended for journalists, media people, content creators and docu creators from all fields of media. The award itself will be awarded in a festive ceremony in early June 2023 for journalistic work, or a work related to the world of Israeli sports. It will be possible to submit nominations for the award until March 31, 2023 for articles, works and works that were published starting in January 2022.
