According to the promoters of the initiative, “the breadth of electronic and avant-garde music has reached Hondarribia, with the first Dantz Point to be held in the town”. Dan — tz, “is a laboratory and container for cultural and artistic projects focusing on electronic and avant-garde music.”
One of its many initiatives is Dantz Point, which aims to “promote and add value to emblematic places of great architectural and / or natural heritage” by bringing music events to places with these characteristics. This is the second face-to-face event following the 30th of April, which took place at the Brigid Convent in Lasarte-Oria on April 30, two days after the pandemic. The protagonists will be two DJs from Gipuzkoa. The previous one will be Manci from San Sebastián, the DJ behind the Spiral party in Dabadaba. Outside of San Sebastián, he has taken part in other projects, such as the CULT collective in Manchester or the Mayday festival in the same city. “It mixes house, broken beat, funk, disco, boogie, soul, dub and hip hop and many other sounds,” organizers said. Navas, a 20-year-old DJ from Irun, will continue the session. At the age of about fifteen, he was attracted to electronic music. Since then, my tastes around the Techno genre have softened me. And “it’s characterized by the loudest and most percussive sounds.”
