Colmobil presented today (Tuesday) at a conference in Holon the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid 2022. This is the first time in the history of the popular family car that it is available in the country with a hybrid, air pollution door that it shares with Hyundai Ionic (whose official production ends in late January). The importer is targeting the Elantra Hybrid mainly for vehicle fleets in front of the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, but is also staring at the private market where there has been a steep increase in demand for eco-friendly cars in recent years.
Although the Elantra Hybrid is a typical family sedan in a 4-door body, its exterior and interior design set it apart somewhat from the gloomy atmosphere of common leasing vehicles; It will be marketed here in American standard, packed in two trim levels, ‘Premium’ and ‘Super’, while already in the base equipment of the base model you get an 8-inch touch screen, remote control via remote control, rear parking sensors, reversing camera, Apple and Android interfaces and 16-inch rims ‘. The ‘Super’ model (actually an expansion kit) adds an inductive charge to the cell phone, sunroof, 17-inch rims on enlarged tires, LED front lighting and a full 10.25-inch full-resolution digital dashboard.

The Elantra is assembled on the K3 floor introduced in 2020 which serves most of Hyundai’s popular family models in Group C, including the i30. The hybrid model retains the dimensions of the conventional model with a length of 4.67 m (20 cm longer than the Ionic, for example), a width of 1.82 m (an advantage of 4.5 cm over the Corolla), a height of 1.42 m and a wheelbase of 2.72 m. ‘(2 cm larger than Ionic) with a trunk with a volume of 474 l. The vehicle weighs about 1.4 tons.
The hybrid heart we know well from Ionic produces 139 hp from 1.6 liters of gasoline and 27 kg coupled to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 10.5 seconds and the maximum speed of the vehicle is 178 km / h. The average (declared) fuel consumption is in the region of 22 kilometers per liter of gasoline in combined driving, while the 1.32 kWh battery allows pure electric “rolling” to a distance of several hundred meters (depending on energy level) and especially utilization in urban areas. A standard gasoline version is also marketed worldwide, but at this stage it is not in Colmobil’s plan and the issue will be reconsidered according to demand.
Prices Will start at NIS 148,000 (leasing track starts at NIS 1,985, down payment about NIS 9,800). A ‘writers’ package for NIS 150,000. Warranty framework: Battery 7 years or 150 thousand kilometers. The car itself has a 5-year warranty.

In the last three years, Hyundai has developed the N Division, the sports arm of the manufacturer that we became acquainted with using the i30n in response to the European GTI models.
