/ The Iraqi Arch and Arrow Federation announced on Thursday that the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, will host the Asian Championship for men and women next February.
The President of the Iraqi Federation, member of the Executive Office of the Asian Federation, and Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Bow and Arrow, Saad Al-Mashhadani, told Agency that the upcoming Asian Championship is the first official Asian Championship in the history of the game to be held in Baghdad, indicating that the tournament is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani. .
He added that the championship is part of the Asian Arch and Arrow Federation’s curriculum and its numbers are considered eligible for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Al-Mashhadani pointed out that there are two events in which the participating Asian teams for women and men will compete: the convex arch and the compound arch.
It is noteworthy that Iraq recently hosted the Arab Cup Bow and Arrow Championship in its eighth session in Baghdad, with the participation of 12 teams in the bow and compound bow events.
