The French Embassy in New Delhi has requested that highly trained dogs K9 be allowed to be deployed in Indian security forces for the security of the Paris Olympics. The Olympic Games will begin in Paris from July 26 and will continue till August 12. Paralympic games will also be held in it. News website The Print has reported, quoting sources, that the French Embassy has requested the Indian government to provide anti-explosive units. Highly trained dogs play an important role in the anti-explosion team. France has demanded K9 dogs. The Embassy has requested India to send dogs and the officials who operate them for the security of the Olympics.

On France’s request, the Indian government has decided to send 10 K9 dogs. These dogs will be taken from CAPF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles and NSG. Among them, six will be Belgian, three will be of German Shepherd breed while one will be a Labrador Retriever. Along with these dogs, 17 officers will also be sent to Paris.

Actually, these K9 dogs had guarded the G20 summit held in India. Then the guests from all over the world had appreciated the capability of these dogs. This is the reason why India’s K9 dogs were discussed in many countries of the world and now for the first time they are going to be deployed for security outside the country.
