For the first time since April: inflation in the United States decreased by 0.6%

After months of constant increase – inflation in the United States dropped today (Wednesday) to a level of 8.5%. This is the first drop in inflation since April. This is the lowest figure since May, when inflation stood at 8.6%.

In July it was announced that inflation stood at 9.1%. As mentioned, this is the first decrease in about four months. In the US, it was estimated that inflation would decrease following a slight drop in oil prices.

The previous index in the US was published shortly before the landing of US President Joe Biden in Israel. Then the index rose by 1.3%, while inflation jumped to 9.1%. Then it was the highest interest rate in the US in 41 years.
