The annual race of the “Hebr” club returns after a 3-year hiatus due to the Corona crisis, in which approximately 4,500 colleagues, their families and friends are expected to participate in 4 different legs of their choice: 5 km, 10 km, 15 km and an 800 meter division for children.Each member may register up to 5 other participants besides himself.

As part of the current race, the “Hebr” club will donate NIS 1 for every 1 km that the colleagues and their relatives run to the “Tikvut” association. Among the activists and volunteers who have been working in the association for many years and will run in the race this year: Ziv Shilon, a social activist who was injured in the fighting in the Gaza Strip in 2012 when who served as an officer in the Givati Brigade, Eitan Hermon, the world champion in the amputee marathon, who was injured during an operational activity in reserve service in the Alexandroni Brigade in the Second Lebanon War, Eli Sofer, a fighter of the Magellan elite unit who was seriously injured at Eitan Cliff, who participates in the “Iron Man” competitions. In addition, Aharon Krov, a paratrooper officer who was injured Anush during Operation Cast Lead and Guy Hochman, a comedian and network host who volunteers at the association.
Race participants will receive a gift set that includes a portable blender for making juices and smoothies, a running shirt and hat that wicks sweat and glows in the dark, a bib and a drawstring bag. In addition, each participant will win a medal that includes a bottle opener and 3 types of screwdrivers.
