The Heroes’ Race (Afula Municipality Spokesperson)
On December 2nd, the “heroine race” will be launched for the third time in which hundreds, if not thousands, of people will run with the aim of raising awareness of the fight against breast cancer and strengthening female patients facing breast cancer.
The purpose of the race, which will be held in the city park in Afula, is to identify and extend a hand to all those who are now facing the challenge of their lives. The proceeds from the event will all be dedicated to supporting patients through complementary medicine treatments at the Beit Shulamit Cancer Center, which will be opened in about a year at the Emek Medical Center.
‘Beit Shulamit’ will concentrate oncology treatments for the residents of the north, including radiopathy facilities for radiation treatments, a hospital ward and day care centers, alongside a comprehensive holistic treatment center for cancer patients.
In the production of the race, the residents of Afula and the surrounding area were contacted and noted that every donation will help to expand the support services that already exist today, thanks to the previous races, for patients dealing with breast cancer.
