The government is developing a set of measures for tax incentives for the Russian venture capital industry. In accordance with the bill, which is now being discussed by departments and experts, companies investing in venture funds will be able to take into account these costs with a multiplier of 1.5. Thus, the income tax base is reduced. A similar mechanism is now in place for research and development funding. This was told to Vedomosti by a representative of the Ministry of Economic Development.
A source familiar with the course of the discussion explained that the initiative was sent by the Ministry of Finance to the commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of “Economics and Finance” in order to obtain a position from the regions.
