The weather in the capital region will be cool until the 20th of March, and real spring warmth will come to Moscow at the end of the second decade of this month. The head of the Meteo prognostic center, Alexander Shuvalov, announced this on Thursday, March 10, in an interview with Evening Moscow.
According to him, until mid-March, the region will be in captivity of a cold anticyclone. Partly cloudy weather with some snow expected. However, closer to the 20th, cold air masses will begin to leave the city and the tempera will begin to rise. During the day, the thermometer can reach +3…+5 degrees. At night, the air will cool down to negative values.
“It will be sunny and warm during the day, nighttime indicators will reach minus one – plus one degree. Partly cloudy weather is expected, the difference between night and day temperatures will be felt less and less, ”the forecaster said.
Shuvalov noted that in the second half of the month the sun will begin to warm the air more actively. It was then that real spring weather would return to the capital region, NSN reports.
Earlier in the day, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, predicted the departure of cold in Moscow and the Moscow region and the return of temperatures to normal. At the same time, the remaining snow will melt without the formation of slush, writes RIAMO.
The day before, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Moscow weather bureau, told Izvestia that a thaw would come to the Moscow region on March 12, but this phenomenon would be short-lived. The temperature will be positive, about 2 degrees, which in fact will not lead to strong climate changes.
