Foreign Exchange Office: the spontaneous regularization operation runs from January 1 to December 31, 2024

Rabat – The Spontaneous Regularization Operation (ORS), launched pursuant to Article 8 of Finance Law No. 55.23 for the 2024 budget year, will extend over the period from January 1 to December 31 2024, announces the Foreign Exchange Office.

This operation concerns natural and legal persons resident in Morocco, with a tax residence, a head office or a tax domicile in Morocco, and having accumulated assets and liquidity abroad before January 1, 2023, in violation of foreign exchange regulations, indicates the Office in a press release.

Persons holding assets abroad can make their declaration, under cover of anonymity, to the bank of their choice, according to a model pre-established by the Office des Changes including the list and nature of the assets to be declared, explains the same source, adding that the rate of the final contribution is set by the provisions of the said Finance Law.

The Office des Changes has put online on its Internet portal (www.oc.gov.ma) a section specially dedicated to ORS 2024. This section includes all the regulatory provisions as well as a practical guide intended to facilitate understanding of the device.

In addition, it allows users to interact with a team dedicated to this operation, anonymously without the obligation to reveal their identity.
