Foreign Exchange Volatility to $54,725 Crore – Dinamani

India’s foreign exchange reserves fell for the 3rd time in a row in Nov. It also rose to $54,725.2 crore in the week ended 18th.

According to RBI statistics:

The country’s foreign exchange reserves last Nov. 253.7 crore to $54,725.2 crore in the week ended 18th. This is about Rs.44,69,404.35 crores in Indian value.

Before this, last Nov. 1,472.1 crore rose to $54,471.5 crore in the week ended 11th. This is about Rs.44,48,684.68 crores in Indian value.

In the previous few weeks, foreign exchange reserves have seen a decline due to a significant decline in foreign exchange asset (FCA) and gold holdings.

Nov. FCA increased by $176 crore to $48,428.8 crore in the week ended 18th. Likewise, gold stock rose by $31.5 crore to $4,011 crore during the assessment week.

During the assessment week, Special Drawing License (SDR) in international funds rose by $35.1 crore to $1,790.6 crore, while the country’s position in international funds fell by $11.1 crore to $504.7 crore, RBI data showed.
