Pledis Entertainment, the agency for the group Seventeen, announced on the 10th that foreign media outlets are continuing to give favorable reviews of the group’s ‘Lollapalooza Berlin’ performance.

British music magazine NME mentioned on the 9th (local time) that Seventeen was the first K-pop artist to headline Lollapalooza Berlin, and praised it as a “historic performance.”

NME reported the heated atmosphere at the concert, saying, “As soon as they finished their unit stage, the audience started chanting the group’s name,” and “the members responded with a chant of ‘Berlin.’”

Rolling Stone UK said, “SEVENTEEN has always been great at live performances and have shown tremendous talent,” and “their unit structure consisting of a vocal team, a harmonized team, and a performance team allows them to move between sweet, dreamy ballads and explosive raps.”

German public broadcaster RBB also took notice of Seventeen’s performance. RBB said, “This year’s Lollapalooza Berlin had more international audiences from Poland, the UK, and other countries than usual,” and “the main reason was Seventeen.”

He also praised the concert, saying, “There were even enthusiastic fans who camped near the concert venue the night before to get a good seat,” and “Seventeen left a strong impression with their perfect choreography.”

German daily Berliner Morgenpost reported, “When SEVENTEEN said ‘I love you’ in German, the fans’ cheers got louder,” while another media outlet, MOZ, published an interview with local fans saying, “SEVENTEEN is a group that gives off a very genuine and positive energy, and their music gives a break from everyday life.”

On the 8th (local time), SEVENTEEN presented a passionate performance, singing 19 songs over 90 minutes at the Lollapalooza Berlin music festival held at the Olympiastadion Berlin, Germany. They sang “Son Goku,” “HOT,” and “Ready to Love,” drawing enthusiastic responses from fans.

Lollapalooza Berlin is a world-class music festival that features a number of notable pop stars every year. This year, Seventeen has been named as the festival’s headliner along with British singer Sam Smith, Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy, and American electronic pop duo The Chainsmokers.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will meet fans with their 12th mini album and world tour in October. They have been nominated for the ‘Best Group’ category at the ‘2024 MTV Video Music Awards’ to be held in the United States on the 11th.
