Stokes, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, was selected 35th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2014 NBA Draft. Stokes made his NBA debut with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2014-2015 season and has since played in a total of 28 NBA games for the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.
Stokes, who played in the Chinese Professional Basketball League from 2017 to 2020, briefly left the court to pursue a film business, but appeared to be returning as an active player after signing with Sono.
