Formation of Chhatra Dal cell to ensure justice for ‘misdeeds’ of Chhatra League

This information was informed in a press release signed by Chhatra Dal Central Office Editor Jahangir Alam on Wednesday (September 11) evening.

It is said that in order to prolong the illegal authoritarian rule of the fascist Awami League government established under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina from 2009 to 2024, the leaders and activists of the Chhatra League have violated the law and human rights by brutally torturing ordinary students along with the leaders of Chhatra Dal and other opposition organizations. At the same time, the fallen fascist power has made the judicial system of the country extremely partisan and has not allowed the proper investigation and judicial process of these heinous incidents to proceed. Therefore, Chhatra Dal has formed a ‘Student Torture Information Collection Cell’ and a ‘Legal Aid Cell’ in order to preserve justice and true history regarding the incident of torture of those students of Dhaka University.

The members of the evidence collection cell are Abu Afsan Mohammad Yahya, ABM Ijazul Kabir Ruel, Manjurul Alam Riyad, Khorshed Alam Sohail, Ariful Islam, Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas and Nahiduzzaman Shipan.

The members of the legal aid cell are – Md. Sajjad Hossain Sabuj, HM Zahidul Islam, Md. Al Amin, Md. Rafiqul Islam Himel, Mallik Wasi Uddin Tami and SM Saif Quader Rubab.

The members of the cell will collect evidence of torture of dissidents and ordinary students in DU during the fascist regime and help take legal action. Chhatra Dal expects cooperation from ordinary students and media workers in this regard.
