The lawyer of Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former order assistant to Jair Bolsonaro (PL), affirmed that his client will confess to having negotiated jewelry in the United States by order of the former president.

“He confesses that he obviously bought the jewels by order of the president,” Cézar Bittencourt said of the items given by other governments to the then Brazilian head of state.

Cid’s decision was revealed to Veja magazine and confirmed to Sheet by the lawyer. The soldier has been detained since May on suspicion of tampering with covid vaccination cards, including Bolsonaro’s.

Also yesterday, the so-called “Vaza Jato hacker” testified against the ex-president in the Parliamentary Investigation Commission on January 8.
