Jadon Sancho no longer had a future at Manchester United. Now the former Borussia Dortmund player is apparently moving within the Premier League – to a United rival.

As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced shortly before the end of deadline day, Sancho is to go to Chelsea FC in London on loan. According to Romano’s information, the “Blues” have a purchase option of 30 million euros. Sancho himself, who had no chance under United coach Erik ten Hag and was not in the squad for the first two games of the season in the Premier League, is said to have already agreed to the deal.

Sancho celebrated his breakthrough after moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017, impressing with strong performances for BVB. In 2021, United brought the offensive player back to England for 85 million euros. However, the now 24-year-old was never able to really gain a foothold with the “Red Devils” and has only played in 83 competitive games for United since then. Record: 12 goals, 6 assists – a shadow of his performance in the Dortmund jersey, for whom he scored 40 goals and 54 assists in 118 appearances in 4 strong seasons.

Recently, the former top talent no longer played a role in the English national team and was not nominated by national coach Gareth Southgate for the European Championship in the summer. The last time Sancho played for the “Three Lions” was in October 2021, setting up two goals in the 5-0 win in Andorra. The next attempt to get back to his old form should now work with the “Blues”.
