‘Former Fifty Fifty’ Sana, Aran, and Sio join Go Hyun-jung’s agency’s new label

Re-debut in the second half of the year as a new idol group

SAENA, ARAN, and SIO, formerly of the group ‘Fifty Fifty’, have found a new home.

Entertainment company OK Company announced on the 12th that it recently established a subsidiary label corporation, MASSIVE E&C, and signed exclusive contracts with Sana, Aran, and Sio.

Fifty Fifty achieved the feat of entering Billboard’s main single chart, the “Hot 100,” at number 100 just 130 days after their debut with the title song “Cupid” from their first single, “The Beginning: Cupid,” released on February 24th of last year. Afterwards, they rose to their highest ranking on the chart at number 17. In particular, they achieved the feat of setting the record for the longest-running entry into the chart by a K-pop girl group by staying on it for 25 weeks.

However, the team’s activities were suspended when the four members of Fifty Fifty, Sana, Aran, Sio, and Kinna, filed an application for suspension of the exclusive contract with Attract. However, the court did not accept it even in the appeal trial. Among the four members, Kinna was the only one to withdraw the appeal right before the appeal decision and returned to Attract.

After the appeals court ruling, Attract notified Sana, Sio, and Aran of the termination of their exclusive contracts. They also filed a lawsuit for damages against them and Ahn Sung-il, the CEO of Dougiebus who was the producer of Fifty Fifty’s music. As Sana, Sio, and Aran have moved to new agencies, the legal dispute is expected to intensify.
Attract reorganized Fifty Fifty into a five-member group centered around Kina. Moon Chanel, Yewon, Hana, and Athena were selected as new members through auditions and other means. They will be releasing their second mini-album on September 20th.

Sana, Aran, and Sio will re-debut as a new global idol group under Messi VNC in the second half of the year. OK Company, which includes Go Hyun-jung and Jo In-sung, has been consistently seeking to enter the music industry. They plan to make a full-fledged entry by recruiting Sana, Aran, and Sio, who are well-known.
