Sigourney Weaver has already celebrated several premieres in the “Alien” film series. She once attracted everyone’s attention in a transparent dress.
The “Alien” film series gave Sigourney Weaver her big breakthrough and she became known worldwide. The US actress first appeared in 1979 as astronaut Ellen Ripley in the science fiction classic. She also took on the celebrated lead role in the subsequent parts “Aliens – The Return”, “Alien 3” and “Alien – Resurrection”. When the latter premiered in cinemas in 1997, Weaver opted for a particularly striking look.
As the star of the evening, the now 74-year-old stood out from the crowd. She posed in a transparent look on the red carpet at the “Aliens – The Return” film premiere in Westwood, California. A fine, white fabric covered her body and gave a clear view of the black bra and dark petticoat that Sigourney Weaver wore under the outfit.
The film actress did not pose for the photographers alone, but in prominent company. US actress Winona Ryder, who is now known for her role in the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, is at her side in the photo. French director Jeane-Pierre Jeunet and Canadian actor Michael Wincott can also be seen.
Another part of the “Alien” series will be released soon, directed by Fede Alvarez. “Alien: Romulus” will be released in cinemas on August 15th – but probably without Sigourney Weaver. Instead, Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced and David Jonsson Fray are listed in the cast. Speany will play the new film heroine Rain Carradine.
