The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed on Wednesday (17) the sentence of former President Nicolas Sarkozy to three years in prison, including one year in a closed regime, a sentence that will be carried out through the use of an electronic anklet. Sarkozy was found guilty of corruption and influence peddling in the so-called “wiretapping” case related to his campaign funding for the 2007 presidential election.
