Dutch coach Guus Hiddink announced his retirement. Since 2020, he has led the Curacao national team, reports the Championship portal.

“Recently, I have not worked because of the coronavirus, and it so happened that yesterday I spoke with the management, and we came to the conclusion that it is better to take a break for now, because they want to try a different approach. I’m going to stop. – said the specialist.

Recall that Hiddink for four years – from 2006 to 2010 – headed the Russian national football team, with which he won bronze medals at the 2008 European Championship.

He also headed Anji Makhachkala, Real Madrid, Spanish Betis and Valencia, Turkish Fenerbahce, English Chelsea and Dutch PSV. In addition, he has led the national teams of the Netherlands, South Korea, Australia, Turkey and the Chinese Olympic team.
