On Monday, the former Minister of Social Development, Giorgio Jackson, filed a complaint before the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago for the crimes of insults, slander and defamation against the businessman Jorge Errázuriz; for the crime of libel and slander, a civil lawsuit against the UDI, and another lawsuit that targets Senator PS Fidel Espinoza.
The legal action against the union community is based on a letter in which parliamentarians from the store stated that Jackson “would have been the author of two crimes,” while Errázuriz had accused the former Secretary of State of being involved in the money mess case and described him as the author of the theft of 23 computers from his former ministry, at the same time that the socialist parliamentarian called him a “gang leader,” urging him to resign from his position.
Despite the actions presented in court, this Tuesday Jackson’s lawyer, Miguel Schürmann, declared that they are willing to receive “sincere public apologies.”
In an interview with the Canal’s Violent Times program VíaX, The legal professional assured that “what is at stake is to compensate the honor, honor and public recognition that former Minister Jackson has.”
