A Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) of January 8 receives for testimony this Tuesday, 29, the colonel Fabio Augusto Vieirawho commanded a Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) during the attacks on the headquarters of the Three Powers. Vieira went to the Senate in the uniform of the PMDF and, at the direction of the defense, so far, has chosen not to answer the questions from the parliamentarians. He was authorized by minister Cristiano Zanin, from the STF (Federal Supreme Court), to remain silent if questioned about facts “capable of incriminating him”. The colonel and six other PMDF officers have been preventively arrested since August 18, on suspicion of failing to carry out the attacks and exchanging messages about “federal intervention”. Vieira had already been arrested in January and released in February.
