Former President Donald Trump has fiercely criticized New York Attorney General Letitia James as he stepped into court for the second day of his trial regarding the business fraud lawsuit against him and his company. Speaking to reporters in the hallway of Manhattan Supreme Court, Trump declared that the case should be dismissed, and went on to suggest that James should also be dismissed.
This ongoing legal battle revolves around the allegations made by Attorney General James, who claims that Trump, along with his two adult sons, the Trump Organization, and other top executives, fraudulently manipulated the valuations of real estate properties. The intention was allegedly to secure more favorable loan and insurance terms, as well as tax benefits.
Expressing his discontent with the situation, Trump asserted that James’ numbers were fraudulent. It is worth noting that during Monday’s court proceedings, Trump had given James a glare as he exited the courtroom, emphasizing the tensions surrounding the trial.
Attorney General James seeks significant damages of $250 million in addition to a ban on Trump and his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, from engaging in any business activities within New York.
This case continues to develop, and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
