The former president of the PSD, Luís Marques Mendes, paid an early tribute to the president of the Castelo de Vide municipality, the social democrat António Pita, who is serving his third and final term, for the “great service” he has provided to the municipality and the party.
In statements at the PSD Summer University, which is taking place in Castelo de Vide, Marques Mendes stated that António Pita has “transformed the village and the municipality,” highlighting the “special sensitivity” of the mayor in the cultural domain, citing the Casa da Cidadania Salgueiro Maia project as an example.
The closing of the PSD Summer University is scheduled for 12:00 next Sunday, with a speech from the president of the PSD, Luís Montenegro.
The Summer University is an initiative jointly promoted by the PSD, the JSD, the Francisco Sá Carneiro Institute, and the European People’s Party (EPP), which has been held since 2003.
