The court recognized the two car rental agreements concluded by Mr. Kvėglio and UAB “Regejus” and their annexes as null and void from the moment of their conclusion: 2019 October 1 the concluded lease agreement for a Mercedes-Benz car and in 2019 November 4 lease agreement of the car “Porsche Macan Turbo” and awarded money from Mr. Kvėglis in favor of the municipality.

In addition, 5 percent were awarded. annual interest on the awarded amount from the date of filing the case in court, 2024 on January 16, until the full execution of the court decision, the court reported.

The decision may be appealed to the Šiauliai District Court within 30 days of its adoption.

The invoices submitted to the municipality do not indicate which car was repaired and which repair work was performed.

Kvėglis and the company as null and void from the moment of its conclusion. November 4 concluded car rental agreement and to award 13 thousand from J. The defendant J. Kvėglys said at the court hearing that the council member was allowed to rent a car by the Radviliškis district municipal council activity regulation to carry out the activities of the council member. There were no objections. After the audit, no comments were received either.

In addition, the municipal accountant said that the car can be rented. J. Kvėglys indicated that the car rental was higher than the funds received from the municipality every month.

The defendant claimed that he used the rented car for work, councilor activities and personal purposes. According to the defendant, he had to go to meetings with voters. Trips were not recorded because such data was not required. If they had demanded it, Mr. Kvėglys indicated, he would have detailed it. The former politician said that he did not provide the municipality with any other expenses related to the activities of a council member.

The municipality of Radviliškis district, which participated in the court session as a third party, agreed with the demands of the lawsuit.
